27th Annual general meeting and reception
The BVA has announced that its 27th Annual General Meeting and Reception will be taking place next week on Thursday 8th November at the West End Apollo Cinema in Lower Regent Street with the kind support of West10 Entertainment.
The evening will start with the annual statement from the BVA Chairman, John Stanley – Managing Director, Warner Home Video UK. The BVA’s 2007 news review will follow and the Rt Hon James Purnell, Secretary of State for Culture, Media & Sport will be this year’s keynote speaker.
Mr Purnell is the youngest member of the Cabinet, having started his political career working in the summer holidays as a researcher to Tony Blair. As the Films Minister in 2005, he brings knowledge and experience to his new role at a time when the home entertainment industry faces new challenges and exciting developments. Guests will have the opportunity to put questions to the Secretary of State.
