BVA restructures its team for a challenging year
The BVA secretariat starts 2007 with a new line up as industry prepares for another 12 months of digital evolution in the home entertainment market.
Ellen Burnell has been made BVA marketing manager, looking after events, such as the annual Awards and Party, progressing promotional opportunities to support new platforms, and as media relations as press officer; Mike Brown continues to run the BVA’s Technology Group which brings together software and hardware members to discuss developments in home media. Anastasia Kefalidou is now Membership Liaison Officer, the main contact for BVA members to help maximise the benefits of our services and activities, as well as continuing to act as the front of house administrative assistant. Stanley Pearce joins the BVA this week as Office Manager, a new position which incorporates Frances Howells’ book-keeping role as she retires after 25 years at the BVA.
Director Carey, Lavinia Carey, says of her new team, “It is very reassuring to start the year with a fresh team which is raring to go, ready to deal with the challenges presented by the maturing DVD market, new arrivals on the Hi Def front and the emerging digital downloading business. We want the BVA to deliver a valuable service which is also value for money at a time of difficult trading conditions.”
