BVA tells Westminster Media Forum Event on UK film: don’t forget video

8th May 2012: The British Video Association’s Simon Heller used a keynote address to a packed Westminster Media Forum entitled ‘The Future of UK Film’ to remind attendees of the crucial role that video plays in the UK audio-visual sector’s eco-system.
Westminster Media Forum exists to provide an environment for policymakers in Parliament and Whitehall to engage in discussion with experts. This event focused on the future of UK film in light of Lord Smith’s recent film review and was jointly chaired by the Rt Hon Kevin Barron MP, Chair of the All Party Film Group and Lord Evans of Temple Guiting, former Vice-Chairman of the British Film Institute. It attracted several hundred attendees from across the audiovisual sector including producers, broadcasters, directors, analysts and financiers. Simon’s address can be accessed here:
