Trio of films featuring Robin Williams. In 'Jumanji' (1995), young Judy and Peter Shepherd discover the board game Jumanji in their new house. But when they begin to play they release wild animals along with Alan Parrish (Williams), a grown man who has been trapped inside the game since he was 12 years old. Together they must seek out Alan's friend Sarah (Bonnie Hunt) and re-enter the game to win. In doing so they have to face elephants, lions, and the big game hunter Van Pelt. In 'Hook' (1991), based on the Peter Pan story, busy American lawyer Peter Banning (Williams) takes his family to London for a holiday with Granny Wendy (Maggie Smith). But the visit takes an unexpected turn when Peter's kids are abducted by the villainous Captain Hook (Dustin Hoffman), forcing the lawyer to confront his past and accept that he is the grown-up Peter Pan. With the help of the tomboy fairy Tinkerbell (Julia Roberts), he then returns to Never-Never Land ready to confront his old crocodile-hating enemy and win back his family. 'Zathura - A Space Adventure' (2005) stars Jonah Bobo and Josh Hutcherson as two brothers, Danny and Walter. Despite their squabbling, the brothers manage to cooperate enough to play an old mechanical board game named Zathura. However, after their first move, they find that the game has apparently flung them, their sister and their entire house into outer space. Furthermore, the brothers surmise the only way to return home is to finish the game. However with almost every move, new dangers arise as the siblings find themselves learning to cooperate in ways they never expected as they realise what they mean to each other.
